The No. 4 University of Washington football team will activate a unique display of state and national pride in Saturday’s showdown against Pac-12 rival USC at Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium.

In recognition of Veterans’ Day, the Huskies will wear a commemorative uniform combination to honor and acknowledge the service and sacrifices made by veterans of United States military service branches. Each player will wear the name of a different veteran associated with the University of Washington, in recognition of United States military service.

The Washington football program worked closely on the concept with the UW Office of Student Veteran Life, who supplied names of the veterans honored. Additionally, the Huskies will wear a patriotic emblem on their helmets.
