Two-time Honda Award winner Krista Vansant had her No. 16 jersey retired by the University of Washington Volleyball program.

"Krista Vansant represents excellence," Jennifer Cohen said. "As a two-time national player of the year, her on-court career is nearly unmatched and she has served as a terrific ambassador for our University since the day she arrived here in Seattle. We are extremely proud of Krista and thrilled that her name will hang in the rafters of Alaska Airlines Arena."

"Krista Vansant represents the very best of Washington Volleyball," UW head volleyball coach Keegan Cook said. "Her growth into a complete student, athlete, and teammate is her ultimate legacy. I have yet to encounter a more skilled or more humble athlete in my life."
