His plan is to eventually turn basketball into his full-time job. But that’s something to save for the end of the season.
“It comes quick,” he said. “When you’re a freshman, you’re like, I’ve got four years of this. It’s going to take forever. But it goes by just like that.”
When Dickerson looks back over his first three-plus years, he said the memories “clash all together.”
Teammates have come in and moved on, some for the NBA after just one season. There was a coaching change. And then there was everything that happens over the course of a career.
But, for Dickerson, that’s just part of the experience.
“You’ve got to be able to adapt to things, adapt to things on the fly,” he said. “It’s all about adapting to new things, because life always throws curveballs at you. You’ve got to be able to take what it gives you.”
